About This Area of Work

Climate change is the defining challenge of our era, and Vanalok Foundation responds with concrete, ground-level action. The Foundation's climate mitigation work spans large-scale plantation design, urban forest creation, farmer-led agroforestry, and innovative urban agriculture models.

At the State Police Training Centre, Vanalok designed and implemented a 6-hectare plantation integrating native and climate-resilient species for carbon sequestration. At Bidar, a 200-hectare eco-tourism plantation creates green corridors while promoting sustainable tourism.

Through partnerships like the collaboration with Grow Pipe India (a Swedish company), Vanalok explores vertical farming, hydroponics, and precision agriculture — the technologies that will define climate-smart food systems.
